So the LT1 puts out same power as LS3 and the LT4 barely edges out the LSA but not even close to tr LS9?

But more efficiently, it's very unlikely that those, much like the 5.0 Coyote, are even near maxed out. I bet you those rating are a bit lower than they actually are...

Not sure what to think.
the C7 in this image looks more like a 5th gen Camaro then a Corvette..

If it doesn't gain any MPG while putting out the same power, then whats the point?

There's no guarantee whether that's even remotely accurate or not.

Your right, but unfortunently there have been so many claims from different sources with info from some sort of "insider" information and every one of them are saying the same thing.....I'm beginning to believe this is very close to the final. Look at close ups of the covered up protype car....you can tell the rear lights look similiar to this.

The bad thing is I haven't actually been enthused with most of the renderings I've seen so that is dissapointing. Heres to hoping we end up loving the real thing.

Everyone claims to "know a guy"

That being said, I will be very disappointed if the rear end looks even remotely like that rendering.

Yes I am serious. I would think a new generation of engine would have a reasonable increase in power, mpg or both. If there is no power bump, then a mpg bump should happen. I'm not saying their won't be an increase but it looks like HP is gonna stay the same at least for now.

When I think next gen Corvette it just doesn't seem right.

I've said some negative things about these C7 renderings, but in the end I'm guessing the real thing will end up looking pretty decent, and over time the look will grow on most of us (it always goes this way). If the car performs great, and has the nice new interior it is supposed to have, then I'll be happy for the most part.

Too bad it likely won't end up looking like these gorgeous renderings. I just wonder what GM would think of these

The point is that most Corvette buyers rank MPG an average of 165 places lower than Horsepower on their list of desired features.
