I don't see much in the way of similarities beyond the basic 'they are both Chevrolet sedans' similarities one would expect. At a glance its pretty easy to see that the fascia, body lines, grill, and proportions are all very different.

At least it has a more interesting rear end than the other 'interpretation'/concept!

I wouldn't be suprised to see it end up looking like a 4-door Camaro, when decked out in all it's sport trim.JMHO

Eight cylinder engines were offered.

I am not a vintage Chevy muscle guy, but I know for a fact that Oldsmobile 442 wagons were ordered and delivered during this time. Berejik Olds used to enter one in shows around here.

If a savvy buyer ticked the right boxes, the equivalent of a Chevelle SS wagon could be had in 1970, I'm sure, and they would have been four door cars
Here ya go

Obviously a photoshop, not a sedan, and probably not very indicative to what the SS will look like, but I do like this...

Also, I really could care less about the name. They can call it the Chevy Dogpoop but if it has an LS3 and a manual, I'm buying. I'm not driving the 1-inch tall badge on the trunk.

Kind of hard to tell any physical differences aside from the front vents though.

At this rate all GM cars will be Holden based.

It was mostly a joke but I mean both the SS and G8 look exactly like a the Holden cars. I know they changed the front end but come on. They might as well just import the damn Holdens as Holdens.

That's the point. Holden relies on exports in addition to the Australian home market.
