So how come no one on here is lamenting the loss of the Torrent? G2 anyone..........anyone. G5 maybe?...................Bueller?................B ueller?
GM simply couldn't devote the engineering and capital for unique cars. "Back in the day" when Pontiac was a 1,000,000 unit brand there was some ability to do that. By the end, only the G6 sold at decent volumes and many of those were to rental car companies. In the end, it costs a lot to maintain a brand in the public's eye and mind. And without differentiated product you are simply trying to convince someone that the grill and badge on the front of an Aveo made a big difference. And with Pontiac now gone, Chevrolet is free to make cars that are much better without treading on their space. Sad to see it gone, but for different reasons than you guys. Just means the volumes for the remaining two U.S. Auto companies are much much lower.
