BS in Business Management from the University of Arizona! Started my collegiate career so sure I would become an engineer; Vector Calculus made me change my mind. Life is full of surprises

I don't have a camaro, but if my hobbies (snowboarding) permitted I probably would have a zl1 on order. I will be walking in May with a bachelors in quantitative economics with an international focus, then taking a year off to build my business and will likely start law school the following year. To be perfectly honest, my independent education has proven more useful to me than my formal education when it comes to making money. However, the networking that comes with a degree is invaluable if you take advantage of it.

Degree in Finance. Has absolutely opened doors for me that I could not have achieved without it. Not saying that people can't be sucessful without an education, but life certainly is easier with one... Trust me as the years go on, you will not be able to get a job worth anything with just a HS diploma. I think that my generation will be the last to be able to get away with just a Bachelors. Most companies are looking for Masters or better in the really high paying fields... My Camaro purchase was not based on my education, but more or less on a want, but my high paying job certainly made it an easy decision to make... Just a random person's two cents!

NO DEGREE AT ALL.....I used the Navy like a trade school.....the RATING I wanted to go into was GARRENTEED in writing if I wanted it......there is a shortage of people in that rating.....when I got out after my one hitch.....I have multiple places to apply to and pick from when the offers came in.

CIVILIAN:
BS/MET - Georgia Southern University
MS/Integrated Manufacturing Systems - NC State University

MILITARY:
3 YR ROTC Scholarship - Paid for BS
Officer Basic Course, Branch Engineer
Officer Advanced Course
Command and General Staff College

Colonel (Retired): Georgia Army National Guard - HOOAH!

Never could have afforded to finish college without military.
Education has helped me be successful in my civilian and military careers.

Both have let me go places, do things, I would not have otherwise...

But I've always wanted to work for myself and anyone who works and supports themselves, they have my respect. To each their own, America is the land of opportunity, let's keep it that way

Congrats! You are paying for a name and not your education. You would have been better off going to a different school. At the end of the day, not one company cares about the Embry Riddle name. Not trying to be mean, just being honest.

FYI: I was accepted there and decided against going there after I opened my eyes and talked to people who had been there.

That's pretty cool.

I'll be going to AIMS this fall to become an ATC (air traffic controller). Luckily it's only a two year degree. It will give me the opportunity to be around what I love and the pay will also be very nice lol. Once I am done and am waiting to go to the Academy, I would like to get/start towards an MBA for Business Administration but specializing in Finance and Marketing. Why? because I think it would be cool to start my own lil financial company or marketing company. It could be something cool to do on the side.
