I participate in 2 other forums (sporadically) and both of them handle this a little differently.

At http://www.floridaconcealedcarry.com there is a "pay it forward" thread that is a sticky. Members post in the thread and the person that requests the item makes a donation via paypal to the forum to help cover the cost of running the forum.

http://www.jeepforum.com has a "free parts" sub-forum in the classified section for people to list things they don't want or need any longer. Parts are typically offered to anyone who wants them as local pickup only items due to the cost of shipping.

My personal opinion would lean more towards a separate "free parts" section in the classified section because I think one huge thread seems like it's going to get messy.

At any rate, add me to the list because I think it's a great idea for fellow Camaro owners to help each other.
