I seen very few for 25k. I hope to be able to get one for 20k in a few years. I cant afford the big monthly payments right now on an SS. Only way I could get one is if i had a HUGE Down payment

I absolutely respect that you spent your time in high school under a hood, and I wish I was more knowledgeable about cars, but all we can do is learn and move forward.
I graduated in 09 and got offered pretty well paying job that i couldnt refuse so i didnt make it to college but i really do like learning. Jw where did u learn how to trade? I get laid off in the winter so i have a lot of time and even if i dont ever use it. Itd be nice to have a better understanding of the market

/sarcastic-little-clap that you paid for your 4th gen on your own. Haha. Im 28. Funny enough when I was 21 I hated camaros btw. My dad and I worked on my 01 Mustang, I bought brand new, on my own. I bought parts and he worked on it for me to save cash. Everyone's situation is different I suppose. Via, education and good luck and God, ive been able to buy a new car for once instead of second hand. It was nice to get the title in the mail. When I bought my 2011 SS I financed it for low payments and 0% APR since I put 20k down, and then financed the other 17k (in between school joined the military for 5 years), since paid off. Yea I spent more than what you might spend on it down the road, so what, I can afford it. 3 years from now I would have had my camaro for almost 4 years. Im not bitter, its just really early here, lol. Sorry for the rant. Where am I? WTF is going on?

For any of you NOT paying your own rent, bills: (power/water/waste/phone(s)/taxes/insurance/etc) Let's drop the 'all by myself' because your parents/others are still helping. Anyone can buy a nice car with almost 100% disposable income. ;-)

I'm 21 about to hit 22. I've worked my tail off for this car. I sold my truck and 2010 v6 camaro to get it at around $38k. I also have over $30k in the bank for the down payment I'll be putting on a house at the end of my apartment lease. Parents gave me my first car and I was on my own after that.

Purchased my Camaro 2 years ago when I was 18. How? I saved and cut grass since I was little. I always wanted a good car. I walked to school instead of getting a beater when I was 16. She's almost all paid off but I keep buying mods instead of dropping a bigger payment on her, she will be paid off before I get out of college though.

20 here, full time student, pay my own bills for my apartment, pay taxes, etc.

The United States Army pays for my school, so that is the only help I'm getting. But does that take me out from paying it all on my own? I don't think so since they get 8 plus years from me.

I paid 1/2 for mine @ 15yrs old. Granted, it was 1988, and the car was an '83 V6 Camaro, bought cheap from my uncle. The car sat a couple months until I turned 16... from there I worked a min-wage job also did odd jobs and barely afforded gas and repairs... could only pay some of the insurance. Once college started, I had to quit working to have time to study.

Just hope youngsters (and oldsters I guess too :-) ) here have the right priorities... no need to mention all those... but should include saving for retirement and building a rainy day fund... before buying a new car and a bunch of mods.
