So true. I am a member over there from when we had our 07 Moostang GT. I posted a total of 2 times in the three miserable years of owning the Mustang. That car was the biggest POS we ever owned and it never even had to visit a dealer for a single thing other than oil changes and a couple TSB's. It left such a bad taste in my mouth that no matter how refined the 2010 Moostang was, the 2010 Camaro we bought is light years better in every aspect.

I've never seen a forum with so many "OMG I DROVE MY CAR AROUND THE BLOCK TODAY" type threads. Seriously? People treat it like their own personal Facebook. There is a lot of good information to be had but there is a ton of BS to wade through to see it.

People are enthusiastic about their cars.
And this web forum is a place for them to share their excitement.

What is wrong with that?

I really wanted to move my car away from it but it blocked me in. I'd slam us too by association.

Not intended to hurt anyone's feelings and if you own that completely overbadged "396" please reconsider your "personalization", And for Gods sakes get it off the poor matching 1st Gen too!
You've got to be kidding me, you mean this car??

My wife saw this car at a grocery store in a small town south of Houston, TX where we live awhile back and it had Ohio license plates on it. She texted them to me laughing about all the ridiculous crap on it.

Talk about a small world LOL.

Being enthusiastic and being idiotic are 2 different things. Maybe it's just me?

And where do you draw the line for everybody to follow? Who says any of us can?

We've all got different ideas of what is stupid/ugly/smart/gorgeous...this is not a new revelation...

So I see absolutely no reason to get upset when someone's enthusiasm goes...overboard....
Smile and walk away. I know I sound like Gandhi, but what good does it do to point and laugh?

Without getting into too much detail, when I see complaints on other sites about how overbearing we are ... I tend to recognize the name of a member that we had warned & banned multiple times. But the funny thing is, their recollection of events always seems to have a few important details missing, and often ... full of outright lies. It doesn't surprise me though. I just look at the source, chuckle, and move on. I suggest that everyone here should do the same thing.

One closing note though ... if this is such a terrible forum, why do we have over 700 people planning on attending C5FIII in under a week?

I know. And I wasn't attacking you for it. I hope it didn't seem that way.

I was only trying to point out that because everyone has a different opinion on where that line is...blasting each other for doing something or saying something out of Camaro enthusiasm isn't all that nice to do.

Could we draw the line on threads asking if you cruise around with your window all the way up, partway up or all the way down?

Is that reasonable?
