Hmm something stupid....
Did anybody that there is a heating element up top in the oven? I didn't until a few years ago. Burned the back of my right hand pretty bad, down to the bone. Am dating and in love with a girl who not only is engaged to someone else but also has a 2 year son with him. Oh and he doesn't know. When I was little (4-5) I was curious what the door handle in the car was for while my mom was driving down the highway at 55 mph. That day I learned a valuable lesson, falling out of a car at 55 mph hurts like hell. |

I've done some really dumbass stuff in my short life. Most recent I will not share
The one I could share involves three buddies, London, drunk British people, the Scotland Yard, and bombs. |

One time my buddy and I dropped M80s into the vent hole of a Port-a-potty while a guy was relieving himself. It was pretty funny watching him come out like a bat outta hell
. not really gonna go into details about this one. But, that same night My buddy and I were chased out of a hotel room by a girls mom . We ended up jumping over the balcony and running buck naked down the board walk at VA beach . And yes Alcohol was involved. Good times.

In 1972, I walked into a pool hall in a small town in Southern Louisiana to use the telephone after parking my 1956 Ford in full view from the pool hall's street level windows. My girlfriend stayed in the car; she had warned me not to go in. I foolishly went in anyway. My neatly tied back long hair attracted the attention of the men at the pool tables, all went quiet. Then won of them says to the others, "Hey, look out there, this mother ****er has a n****r girlfriend!" just as he cracks me over the head with the heavy end of a pool cue.
Somehow, my girlfriend managed to get my unconscious body into the back seat of the car. I came to while she was driving us out of that town. Not too smart, eh? |

Well I posted this in a thread I started this weekend...so it may be a repeat to some of you guys. But anyway, Sunday I decide to put my underdrive pulley on. Thought I was prepared because I have a snap on balancer installer. So I pull factory pulley off. Realize the adapter for my installer tool was too short. So I thought I'd be clever and weld the adapter to the factory crank bolt. It worked great for about halfway.
then the weld broke. O shit! Bolt is stuck in my crank. So ok...I pull out my balancer puller (different type required than the factory pulley) and i was missing a bolt to it. So I rethreaded another bolt. well it worked luckily. So now how do I get the bolt out? (it's late, I'm tired and frustrated and not thinking straight) so I'm trying different drills to see if they fit. Nope. No room. So I give up. Go inside and try to get some rest. That didn't happen. I was up all night stressed that I just messed up a new car. So I'm getting ready to head out the next morning to buy a close quarters drill. I get on here and do some searching around about this ordeal. Someone mentions removing the fan assy. why didn't I think of that. But that was stupid. It took me about three minutes to remove. Gave me plenty if room and now I feel so stupid. Got the bolt out no problem then. And guess what? I wasn't struggling for room anymore. Guess I just had a huge brain fart in this ordeal. Duh!

In 1973, while rebuilding an old Ford 312 engine, I was having a hella time loosening the bolt holding the damper to the crankshaft. I finally got the block assembly, which was on the floor, to sit still by wedging it between the work bench and the water heater, I put a length of pipe on the handle end of the socket wrench and torqued the shit outa' it. STUPID! The threads were in the opposite direction! I busted off the bolt's head and spent the next six hours gettin' the rest out with a "not-so-easy-out"
