I mean the following seriously, I'm not joking or insulting, I truly wonder:

You know how they always play a musician's songs on the radio as a tribute when they die? Would it be in bad taste to play her biggest hit about I don't wanna go to rehab, no-no-no?

That video is hot.

On another serious note. Her only mistake was trying the drugs initially. She obviously had an addiction problem and I feel sorry that she had so many enablers that allowed it to continue until she died. She'd have been better off if she was cut off from all her money so that she could have a couple moments of sobriety to think more clearly and have a chance to get some real help. The only person that can stop an addict is the addict themselves. They have to be ready to quit. But the people cheering her on and allowing her to continue her lifestyle are more to blame than herself.

That is the problem today someone always wanting to blame others for their mistakes. SHE is the one that took the drugs. SHE is the one that decided what to do with her life, don't try to blame others for her Stupidity. I guess by the way you think everyone that bought her records are to blame then because they are the ones that she got the money from to support her Addiction.

my point was that addiction is serious stuff. once she's hooked she's hooked. It is her fault to have even started. But the enablers who didn't force her to get help one way or another are to blame, yes. Have you ever talked to a drug addict while high? Their brains are gone. They cannot make decisions for themselves. Even when they're not high most of their brains are gone.

You can say its her fault one way or another. I say it's her fault for starting, you say it's her fault for continuing. I just differ in that opinion because I have known people with chemical additions and I've seen many times that there is little hope for them to do it on their own without serious outside influences. People who are addicted tend to dig themselves further and further in a hole unless there is a support network around them of some sort.

This is clearly her not at her best and sad IMO. She had her demons and addiction/depression is not a simple choice that some make it out to be, it's a mental illness. While I don't condone, agree with, or like to be associate with drug addicts, I never judge people's worth based off of their vices and demons as I don't walk in their shoes.

Like many, I didn't think much of this news since I didn't follow her at all prior to her death. I had no interest, truthfully based off of her ugly crackhead looks and reputation. I didn't give her a chance

However, after watching many of her live clips on Youtube since her death, I have to say she had immense talent, generational talent IMO. Her potential was cut short due to her vices and demons.

While musical tastes are subjective, I'm not sure how anyone can listen to this and not hear talent.

Apparently her family tried and tried to stop her. Unfortunately people never learn that drugs lead to no good. The trick is to not start in the first place, because stopping does seem to be a problem.
Think about people like her the next time you hear people say that drugs are no big deal.

Listen I have a family member that has been in alcohol and drug rehabilitation a dozen times, ever month it's the same thing every time he goes through it he says he is done with drugs and alcohol, but within a month he is right back in the same condition. Now everyone in the family has tacked their heads off to him, unfortunately we cannot do a thing about it. Even when he threatens to kill someone else or even himself, until he physically harms himself or someone else the law prevents anyone having him committed (believe me we have tried) Only he can do that.
You can try to blame the enablers as you call them. But ultimately only the user can decide when enough is enough. It seems to me these drug rehabilitating programs are about useless, they are revolving doors get them in and out as fast as possible. And with my family member he knows exactly what to tell the doctors so they think he is fine so the let him out. I bet the actual percentage of people tha come out of these programs and never do drugs again is very small.

Ya know when the addict is in the middle of their drugs friends and family can't do much except stop being enablers. I've had a family member ostrasized for drugs, you turn your back on them until they ask for help. It's tough to do, but really about the only option.
The ones who keep you addicted are the only ones who will hang around with your sorry ass, other druggies. In Amy's case, her chosen lifestyle made it very easy to take the path of least resistance through drugs and ultimately to death.
It's just sad that it happened to anyone's kid. That's all.

I'm with you on this one. That's someone's little girl, and it's a real shame that she couldn't of been helped before it was too late.
