Anyone can get a driver's license. Would she have to carry her passport around? Would YOU have to carry your passport around? Or maybe your birth cert? Poultry is one of Mexico's bigger agricultural industries, so I imagine plenty of illegal immigrants from Mexico would naturally try to get a job in a field they are familiar with...

Its about time we take back our country. Years ago you needed a sponser to come over, needed to secure a job, and learn the language. Now people keep coming over and at least in RI automatically get on the welfare system. No residency requirement, nothing. Hopefully this and all other states will follow suit

That is not how the law reads.. the law reads, IF you are detained for some violation, you must provide ID... you have to break the law first.

After you break the Law then yes it is a judgment call on the officer...

And yes the officer can look up your registration information and do a little checking... if things don't add up... you go to jail.

Dude, I'm with you. But, law is law. It's illegal to drive with out your DL with you... regardless of race...

People always talk about streamlining the immigration process, but i never hear of a Bill being introduced by those reps in congress that are for it. I wonder why. Maybe they want things to stay as they are.

It's always something when pro-illegal people talk about how the wall doesn't work anyway. If it doesn't work they wouldn't be so concerned about it.

Last month Obama made jokes about people wanting moats, and probably want alligators in the moats.
Two days later two border agents here got hit by a train and died while chasing illegals

It's hilarious.

They claim that wall has shown to be pretty effective...

Of course it will never stop illegals.

I'm neither for or against it... I like the idea of remote ranchers having some added protection but I also feel there are other ways to spend that money....

I'd like to see the numbers and where they got them from, because, from what I know, there has always been other more efficient ways to cross the border.
Either way, I think the public is focusing too much on the actual act of illegal immigration, instead of the real problem, which is the lack of support for legal immigration.
