epic failure. There should always be a choice. 4 banger, 6 banger, and 8!

Especially since the Camaro's V6 makes 30ish mpg...

The take rate on V6 midsize cars is pretty low these days and most people who buy those V6 cars do so because of other features and options rather than the engine itself. Designing for only one engine configuration lets automakers take out a good deal of weight from the car. Everything from mounting brackets to the size and shape of the engine bay can be optimized for that one particular engine. This in turn results in better fuel economy and better driving dynamics (and reduces the need for larger engines). And don't forget, many 4 bangers these days are producing power comparable to what entry level V6's got 10-15 years ago (such as the 3400 series V6's that GM put in just about everything). Lastly, if the Malibu is 4 banger only that allows the for more differentiation with the larger Impala.

That said ... I picked my Grand Am because it was about the smallest car I could get with a V6.

Not Malibu news but I just found out the Chevy Cruze won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in the European Touring car championship beating out rivals BMW. Way to kick some BMW butt

starts at 4:25

Exclamation 4 door Camaro..... Malibu

Looks like those rumors aren't entirely false......here's the 2013 Malibu:
I know some of the people on here aren't going to like it, but I think it looks cool.

i dont know how everyone else feels, but I dont want them "borrowing" the look of the camaro's brake lights... That's part of what distinguishes a camaro... That's how i can identify one when driving at night... I dont want to pull up to find out "oh, its just a malibu..."

It's a decent looking car, but nowhere close to a Camaro. Every time I hear "4-door Camaro" I get sick a lil bit. Please stop..... Lol

When did it brand identity styling become a requirement for a car line? Did all the Chevy's in the 60s look like? Hell no and that is the way it should be. Maybe the next Corvette should have some Aveo and Impala DNA.....
