I think that in his drug induced haze, he thinks he is his tv character.

His brother Emilio Estevez has become a very successfull writer and director. He is currently directing his dad in a movie script he wrote. That movie is do out next year. Also he has filled is property with over 800 grape vines and has his own little winery on his property that he tends to himself.

Even though they're brothers, the two are at opposite ends of the "celebrity" spectrum. for some reason people believe they have to do something crazy every once in a while to keep relvant. There are many people out there who make alot of money making movies that I enjoy but you don't see them in every magazine. It's all about the choices you make.

Yeah I remember when Ted Danson was the highest paid per episode for Cheers and that was 200K an episode.

Charlie is not crazy.
He has actually said "things" in the past that were "right on the money" about the kind of things that go on in the world. And most celebrites would not go NEAR the subjects he has broached. The issue is he is on a TV show where he is the "golden goose" so to speak. He literally does not have any peers on the show. But he likely does not like to take orders from anyone if he does not think they are on his same level. No matter what he says, he won't lose his fan base. People like him regardless of how obnoxious he behaves. He is what he is. You can tell he just wants attention and he is depressed about something serious he won't talk about. |
