The $50k muscle car GT500 actually did pretty good considering the $90k supercars it was compared against.
I love the way that the Z06 nails 0-60 in first gear!! In the drag racing video you can see the Vette pull on the GT500 when the GT500 driver shifts into second. The GT-R is a monster but I'd still take the Z06 over the GT-R.
I'd like to see a standing mile run with the Z06 vs the GT-R....bye, bye GT-R.

I'm not worried about some random car mags arbitrary criteria for their frankly stupid "comparisons." I highly doubt the GT500 would be cross-shopped with the Z06 or GT-R. It's not in either of the cars class.

Just to piss everyone off. I own a '10 1ss. '01 harley. '01 honda 929rr. and now I am looking for a 65-66 mustang fastback. I dont care about ford or chevy or dodge or honda or suz or kaw or yamaha. Shit... if it looks good to me and does what I am looking for, for the price, I'll take it. I have build a 69 camaro SS convertible and love the styling so I bought the 1ss. If Ford would get their head out of their ass and build a mustang that looks like their muscle car from the 60's I might have bought it. the challanger looks great too.

Stop knocking on the ford guy and stop knocking on the nissan guy. Chevy sucks too!!! just look at all of the post about the problems with the camaros and what chevy is NOT doing to fix the problems and the lack of customer service.

Lets face it... sorry to burst your bubble... but... maybe only 5 of the people on this forum are talented enough or have the skill enough to get ANY of these cars to their potential. get over it.

Nice to look at (depending on who you are), scary to drive (especially if you break something in the tranny), expensive to fix and way too expensive for 500hp's., and I'd have to see it do 0-60 in 2.9s to believe it, and finally any car can have 500hp. with an SC installed.
So, truly at the end of the day what are you really getting for 80k. Sorry, I love my SS, and with an SC installed wouldn't trade it for a Nissan.

i admit the car isnt that good looking
i didnt like it at all, but it grew on me
my cousin has a 2011 nissan gtr and ive ridden in it so many times and its amazing, acceleration is BRUTAL, love the feeling, u start to like the car after the while - even the looks. ive ridden in it many times, from when we had summerschool in summer, to going to gym, going out to eat or wherever, so i can give my honest opinion.

I saw two 2010 GT-Rs at the track last night , they put em side by side and one did 11.2 other did 11.3 was pretty cool. They were nicer looking in person that what i thought from the pictures , but even if I had the money still probably wouldn't own one.
