I picked my husband up in a bar too, about 10 years ago. Saw him walk in with 3 other women, but just knew I had to have him. Walked up to him while he was chatting with the other women, asked him if any of them were his girlfriend/wife (they weren't) and told him he should dance with me and the rest is history. History, however, has taken a turn and we are now divorcing. Can't really say what happened except that he's having a midlife crisis and wants to go it alone.

My wife is my cousin's best friend since childhood. I had never met my wife before and met her at my cousin's wedding. We were both going through at divorce at the time and well, the rest is history, so they say.

We've been together over 20 years and married for almost 18. She is without a doubt my best friend and the love of my life.

My cousin was divorced 5 years later.....go figure.

My wife's BFF introduced us. Both of us had gone though life changing events in the three years prior to this. My wife has beaten breast cancer, it has been a long battle for her, about 4 years so far, she will be having the last of her reconstructive surgery soon.
My late wife of 25 years passed away from a heart attack, a month later I was in a bad car accident. On the way to work, at 4 in the morning a car barrel rolled in front of me. After checking on the driver, I was on the my cell phone talking to the state troopers, when an eighteen wheeler, doing 70 mph, hit the car that had rolled nocking it into me. I don't remember much of the 2 weeks after that, except for an artificial shoulder I'm good. All in all my wife's fight was a lot harder and longer than mine.
But, to the good now, we both love the Camaro, we travel alot (Camaro Fest, Bermuda, Jamaica) we make each other laugh like fools, life is good. So, tonight, we will be sitting on our back pourch have a glass of wine planning our next adventure, hope y'all are having a great life.

I was called back from the USS Kitty Hawk in the North Arabian Sea, 1987. My Dad had Leukemia and was in the University of Michigan Hospital. I was fortunate enough to be able to say goodbye to my Dad and see my Mom though a terrible few weeks.

My wife was a student Nurse about to graduate, and one of the Nurses who took care of my Dad. She was very nice to my Mom and even sent her a sympathy card. Mom forwarded that on to me out at Sea on the ship. We began to write, and went on a date when I next visited home.

She then followed me to my next duty station as a traveling Nurse. Honolulu, go figure. She stayed. We have been married 19 years yesterday, and have two wonderful children. My Mom has two grandchildren and a daughter.

Ok I will try to keep it short but it's kinda long..........

I was in the Army as an electronics repair tech stationed in germany/Iraq. My X-Wife and I had quite a few problems (most of which were because of her being an alcoholic). When one day on R&R from Iraq her mom asked my "why do you put up with her crap". Well that phrase woke me up inside and made me realize that i did not need her crap.

Upon my return from Iraq my unit was de-activating so I was set to go to FT Hood, Texas as my next duty station. I (with the help of her mom and brother) placed my X-wife in a rehab center and I took off with the kids back to the U.S.

I filed for divorce and got full custody of the kids (I kept all the police reports on her stupid activites). I left the kids with family in Missouri and went to texas to get settled. I found out that I would set to deploy again in 6 months so i left the kids where they were and just got a 1 bedroom apartment for the 6 months.

I was a newly free man and went out alot but always called my kids almost every night. Since I had been married for 10 years I was little out of practice.

I ended up meeting a couple girls over time and I wasn't dating any of them just friends to hang out with. One night they called an basically begged me to go to the club with them. i was tired and really didn't want to go, in fact I was already laying down at 9 PM when they called. I hemed and hawed but they finally talked me into it. I was there with them for probably 20 minutes before I started really checking out the surrounding (I am a people watcher). As I was looking around the room I caught sight of something on the other side of the dance floor.

They were the most amazing blue eyes I had ever seen....and they were attached to the most beautiful red head I had ever seen....I thaught to myslef WOW she is way out of my leauge.

I kinda watcher her for along time and I thaught she was watching me also but again I didn't think I had a shot. At one point I was talking to my friends and when i looked up she was gone. I thaught she had left but to my surprise I felt a finger run accross my shoulderblades and when I turned around it was her walking past me tward the bathroom.

I went to the bar by where she was sitting (taking note of the drink she had been drinking) and got her a drink and proceed ed to her table. We talked all night long where i found our she was a little older than me but had 4 children ages 14, 13, 10 and 4. To which I replied that I had three children 14, 4 and 2. We laughed at how that would be quite the brady bunch together.

We became friends and hung out alot. She was and still is my best friend. She didn't want to take things farther because I was in the service and she didn't want another military husband (her X was military). I did alittle soul serching and decided I didn't want it anymore either. I ended up getting out because I was a single parent and could not deploy anymore (no one to watch kids).

Ok story is long enough......we took a cruise to mexico and when we got back we got married in Copperas Cove, Texas and started building our house. We have been married for 2 yrs, 7 months and have been living in our home for 2 yrs, 2 months.

I know everyone says third time the charm well for us it is a fact. THis is the third marriage for both of us and every time I think I can't love her anymore I wake up the next day even more in love with her......

My Aunt lived next door to my wife's family, we would play peek-a-boo through the connecting wooden fence as kids . Started dating in high school, we have been married for 26 years!!! And yes, we still play peek-a-boo after all these years!!!

We've been friends since the Third grade. I had a different girlfriend all through high school and college. I never knew that she wanted to be more than friends. By fate, I had broke up with my high school sweet heart and ran into my future wife to be, at of all places a bar. The rest is history.

I met her in a boot factory that I was working in. One of my friends came in to visit me and had brought a friend along. I thought she was very good looking.

The dad of my friend went on and on about how sweet she was and how much of a good girl she was. I thought to myself, "This girl must be a real psycho, because she's really hot but don't have a boyfriend. There must be a reason that she's single."

We saw each other off and on for the next two years, because we hung around the same circles. We became good friends over that time but things just didn't fall into place until the second year.

I had two tickets to the SpringNationals drag race in Tulsa. My roommate fell out on my extra ticket. I asked her if she would be interested in going, thinking she would say no. Surprisingly she said yes. After that we started dating.

We got married after dating for a year. We've been married for over 17 years now.

BTW, her name is "Mrs. Boss."
