Sorry man, I had a wheaten as well that I lost after 13 years of sharing my bed and sometimes my meals when my parents weren't watching lol. I'm getting choked up from this thread. My family has his ashes above the fireplace at home. . . very joe-dirtesque, but I would kill someone without second guessing if they took those ashes. I grew up with that dog and spent more time with him than any person. It's hard to move on, but just remember how happy you made her while she was around. Eventually, you'll be able to handle the idea of having another dog. Just remember, you aren't replacing her, you're filling the void she left behind and making another dog happy along the way.

Memphis, very sorry for your loss, I know how hard people are are not TRUE animal people to understand, but I know I do.....its like losing a child. Over the years I have had to deal with 3 times......its jsut a matter of time, but absolutely loved the time I had with mine, and Iam sure you did too. Our deepest condolences.

Sorry to hear about the loss. It's tough losing a friend, especially one as loyal and unconditionally loving as a dog. I lost my boy January of last year, and then almost immediately after, we lost his girlfriend. That was tough. Good news was I kept one of their sons, he has her face with his eyes, lol.

In any case, when you are ready, I'm sure another dog will find a happy home with you and you can start a new friendship! One that hopefully will last just as long, if not longer!

I'm so sorry to hear of your loss...there are never words that can bring comfort to us, but the thoughts of our beloved friends running around and playing should give us hope that one day, they will be waiting for us on Rainbow Bridge...
