Not the point. They don't pretend they don't and charge you more for something they won't back when it fails to live up to expectations...

If I take of the primary cat will I get a code I have a 2ss wanting to get new headers I don’t mind to take the cat out for new headers especially if it’s cheaper and louder but I don’t want a check engine light code all the time. And y’all say to get a tune will getting the tune fix the check engine light if there is one.

Yes you will get a code for removing either the front or rear cats but it's a simple tune to get the cel turned off. The one thing is though you will have to remove both the front and rear cats to put on long tube headers unless you get the cats that go with the headers. The front o2 sensors are required for your engine to run and the rear ones are a monitor only of the condition of the cats. So most people just remove the rear o2 sensors and have them turned off in the tune. The thing I would be concerned about is whether or not your county requires emissions testing because if they do then you can't get your inspection if you don't have a stock style exhaust system with all the cats and o2 sensors installed. If you don't have emissions in your county then it's as simple as installing the long tubes without any cats and then having someone turn off the cel for the rear o2 sensors and making a small adjustment to the fuel trims. Or you can put on the primary cats after the headers if you want to go green for the environment.
