I was particularly glad to see this firearms thread. I was wondering where some of the good concealed spots are in the vehicle are besides the obvious glovebox, rear seat pouch. I have a S&W M&P 40c, it doesn't fit well in the center console with my holster and I'm afraid to tear the leather seat pouch with the holsters belt clip. Any ideas?
I've been thinking about whether I'm going to carry or not in this car. I do in my pickups and my SUV, but like you said, other than the glove box, there is really not a good place to put a pistol in this car, unless it's small. That being said, I have a Walther P22 that I think will fit in the center console just fine. Not much firepower, but better than none at all.

Buy a smaller M&P .40 Cal. Compact...? Thoughts guys?

G27 will fit in the console but not much more will. If you go that route, be careful of what you plug into the usb/jack port because the gun can put pressure on them.

I'm not left handed (when it comes to shooting) but the gun (in a IWB holster I had made for it) fits perfectly in the door pocket and it is positioned perfectly for a left handed shooter. Or a person who can quickly transition it to their right, which in my opinion would be faster than having to open the console and retrieve it.

A G23 or a G22 might fit in the door also, I'll have to see later.

Thanks D-day, I actually drive a full size truck as my dd and no shortage of places to carry. I found this on an F-150 enthusiast site, I'll have to look and see if it would work on the camaro. Here is the site, not sure how to post pics yet.

Awesome mount. If I wasn't 6'5" and needed all the leg room this car can provide, I would scope one of those up for it. That being said, I might just have to buy one for my pick ups. Nice.

Might be the grip safety, I believe thats why a lot of people have the beaver tail style grip safety now (that plus it just looks cool)

For people with large hands the hammer spur can pinch the web between the grip safety and the spur hammer. Normally a Commander style burr hammer will cure this however a beavertail grip safety improves handling for a lot of people. 1911 have as many after market parts as any Camaro. Gotta admit the hurt is a lot worse on the other end of a 1911 so always remember to keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until your on target and ready to shoot. Stay safe and enjoy both (1911 & Camoro). As others have said I still like my Glocks but they're still different than a 1911. 1911 can be a real class act.

ARRRRRRGH - YOU sacrificed the SCAR !!! NOOOOOOOOO !!!
I just shot a couple hundred rounds through my SCAR this past wknd.

I feel your pain... My firearm collection is getting a lot of double takes whenever I open the safe and decide what I can live without in order to mod my new ride. So far I have resisted putting anything substantial on the chopping block - just my CAI HB AK47/RPK and a CAI Galil/Golani. Once sold, those will likely be turned into my MagnaFlow exhaust and new speaker system.
