I already know I need ss rear dust shields, ss brake lines (braided.) I think the offsets and brackets are different for our cars

I'm not sure I have no idea what they even look like haha. I know you can just remove the dust shields all together but I believe that is a little of a pain.

Trust me they're BIG 6 piston fronts 4 rear
But nah I'll keep them because brake dust from those brakes is a PITA on oem pads

LS- I already looked and got nothing In concrete, one guy said i would need a new master cylinder and brackets but I doubt that

Haha, maybe look into ceramic pads for them? To reduce dust

Yeah my dad was like "if they fit, you can have the non-ceramics pads that come with the kit, while I get the ceramics"
Lol

Gave that a quick read and it seems that it isn't worth it. Apparently the SS brembos are better.

Still better than nothing haha. Think I'm just gonna forget about the brembo upgrade and just get the R1 rotors with ceramic pads to keep the weight down.

I feel like the SS brembos aren't really worth it unless you do road racing. In which case, they're 100% worth it. Don't know the difference in price between the CTS-V brakes and the Brembos but if it isn't too much, I'd just go straight to the CTS-V ones.

Yeah..I'm personally not going to spend money on the Cts-v brake kit either, I might give it try since its free and ill already be doing the GTO clutch resovoir mod

while the ss brembos are actually made for the camaro vs the zo6 brakes, they're nothing to get excited about imo

But that's a good idea KJ, front calipers from the Z are like 23.4 lbs!

During the Spring, Summer, Fall mine is a DD and occasionally I bring it to the 1/4 mile. I just really like the looks of the brembos, they don't look cheap like whatever our brakes are haha. I have been going back and fourth between what would be better the looks of them or trying to keep my car weight down and I finally decided to keep the weight down.

Honestly, that's how I feel too but many say that just getting better pads helps a bunch! And getting other rotors is a huge upgrade as well. I don't plan on braking upgrades anytime soon since I'd have to swap wheels as well since I run the 1LT wheels for weight savings but who knows since I have my eye on some Forgestar F14s
But not before another big mod I might have in the works!

I drag race quite a bit so I like to do the most I can to help me go faster while not sacrificing daily driveability either. But I honestly think our brakes don't look too bad if you paint them. I have mine painted red and I personally like them. That being said, my car will probably never be a show car so I don't really care what they look at as long as I can stop well hahaha. I am looking into upgrading the rotors into hopefully something better for stopping and lighter.

Nice good choice in wheels was debating those or the ones I have.

But now I am wondering...do the dust shields actually serve any other purpose than reducing dust? Cause if I do go with cermaic pads and new rotors I believe the dust would significantly be less so maybe it would be worth it to just remove them idk haha

I would swap out brakes if I can get them for free lol

Honestly, only reason im getting brembos is for the big caliper look, CTSV calipers would make me drool!
