I've used them on all the race cars I built? As long as your timing and fuel is right they don't backfire and catch

I hear ya and wasn't trying to bash. You're right in your thought. Here's my thinking... Would you keep a rag soaked in gas fumes and motor oil under your hood?

Just takes a spark or something getting too hot, and all your work is gone.

Just my opinion.
