Remember, firearms, particularly pistols, have market values that also depend on your region, partly because of local and state law. In 2009 I bought a 1988 Sig P226 in 9mm. It looks brand new. No box. Cost me 800 dollars. That's a fair price for that pistol here. And it has a trigger that makes me weak in the knees.

I think the HK looks the best and i think that gun comes with like 24 different grip configurations, which is just nuts lol.
The trigger is debatable depending on the person. Imo the XD and XDM line had better triggers than the PPQ but the VP9 by far has the best trigger for a striker fired pistol.

Both the VP9 and the PPQ have the same trigger pull, 4.5 pounds but the PPQ has a really long travel with it having to go almost all the way to the back of the trigger guard before it breaks, it's almost as long as Ruger's LC9. The VP9's travel is much shorter, roughly the length of the XD's. Length of travel is crucial to the accuracy of the first shot, the longer the travel the worst the accuracy. The location and design of the trigger on the VP9 imo feels better and more comfortable allowing me to make more accurate follow up shots because it breaks in a more natural position.

I owned an XD .45, and right up until the moment I shot the Sig, it was my favorite hangdun. The more i hear people talk about it, the more i really want to try that VP9. It sounds like an amazing firearm, and if im not mistaken, i think it won handgun of the year in 2014.

I love my Shield. It's a great shooter and very accurate. I have over 1500 rounds through it with no issues.

Well I got a little burned with my AR purchase. I went to the range to zero in my rifle yesterday and while the windage was right, I was shooting high. No problem, go to adjust the front sight and low and behold the gun I bought with real magpul sights isn't what I thought.

Turns out that the store I bought them from was false advertising and sold me a gun with replica sights that actually couldn't be adjusted. Had to go out and spend about 100 bucks on the two real Magpul sights. Needles to say, I was a little upset.

Just went to pick up what I figured would either be an XDS 9, or a Shield in 9 for the wife, she liked this better....can't fault her, she's comfortable with the cocked & locked, so , hey...who am I to argue ?

You just reminded me I've been meaning to post pictures of his little brother.

The little guy is 100 years old this year.

Awesome! I love old Colts. I want a 'vest pocket' model like yours to add to my Colt auto family portrait.

My model 1903 is from 1920 and my model 1911 is a US Property example made in 1918. I have traced the model 1911 as far as Springfield Armory in 1918 but I haven't been able to discover if that was for storage or shipment to France for WWI.
