It's hard to imagine that too many people would making their buying decision off of one, two, or even [insert number here] magazine articles that they read - regardless of the outcome. I would suggest that most (most...not all) are biased towards one brand or the other (GM, Ford, Chrysler, or an import), and the most that one of these magazine reviews is going to do is perhaps convince someone to go look at/test driver a vehicle they may not have otherwise considered. Ok, and provide arguement fodder for internet forums.
For me...personally...my priorities/wants/biases are fairly narrow when it comes to my next new car purchase. I do look at the hard numbers generated, but I put more stock in what real-world enthusiasts are getting from the cars. I'll readily admit to being drag racing and lightweight biased. Unfortunately, that narrows the choices down quite a bit. To each their own. |

one thing i have definitely noticed is the car is getting more and more powerful. i remember how it drove off the lot, and its definitely getting out of hand now. maybe running premium, no alchohol 93 octane is why, but its a sure thing.

they said they both were running neck and neck run after run. looking at the video, the 1/8 there was downhill considerably which probably helped the Camaro overcome the inertia of its weight problem better |

No doubt. Has any NA car ever picked up nearly 90HP over stock from a tune only?

I can't see any pic, but you made the 2nd best choice (the first being the 2011 Shelby GT500). I think the 2010/2011 look heaps better than the 2005-2009. I think the 2005-2009 look cheap: the front looks cheap, the side looks cheap and the back look cheap.
The 2010/2011 look far more sophisticated with its hips, the more complicated body paneling on the side and the Shelby Cobra-like grille. And I for one love the back-side of the 2010 - especially in Shelby form. The 2005-2009 looked like a cheap rectangle. Kind of reminds me of something like a Neon - not in appearance - but in quality. You look at a Neon and it just looks so cheap, and that's my impression when looking at the 2005-2009 rear end. The complex contours of the 2010/2011 adds a level of sophistication and makes it look more like a higher-end sports car. |
