My axles should be fine right now as long as I don't run any sticky tires. These street tires break loose enough to keep the axles safe for now. The forged internals aren't necessary right now, but if I definitely decide I want to hit the 700-750RWHP range then they will be a must.

I'm buying some Stainless Works 1 7/8" LTs next week. It was between SW, ARH and Kooks because I'd heard great things about all three, but I decided on the SW since they were $600 cheaper than the ARH and $200 cheaper than the Kooks.

I fell into a smokin deal on some Scoggin Dickey heads w/ all the goodies. 800 bucks for the pair brand NIB.

SS makes V6 LTs too right? I might get some BBKs like Bryon suggested, they are cheaper than ARH too.

I'm not sure to be honest. I'm hoping for about 30-40RWHP and 40RWTQ increase, but I'm also looking forward to the sound of them mated with my exhaust.

Was going to do some QTP electric cut-outs but I think I'm going to hold off for now. I do know that I plan to have my TQ management tuned out or at the very least reduce it some.

I gotta hop off here for a while and grab me some grub. Talk to you guys later! Have a good one Mike & BB.

Yes, stainless works makes V6 longtubes. 1280 for the set + cats.

The BBKs are cheaper, at 919.99 for a stainless set + cats.

To be honest though, if it were me I'd get the Doug Thorley Shorties. They've dynoed at only 2 less hp than the LTs, but they're 100% emissions legal (hell, most inspection places won't even notice they're there), and a hell of a lot easier to install. 490 for a set.

You can get the ceramic bbk for less then $700. What's the biggest difference in stainless and ceramic? As in advantages.

Stainless lasts longer. I only listed the stainless price for the BBK because its most congruent with the stainless works price (only available in stainless).

But, to be honest the DTs are only available in ceramic so its still applicable.

P.S. - List price on ceramic BBKs is 819.99. Dealer prices may be lower but I'm only comparing list to list here. Its always possible to wait for a group buy or something and get a set of a great price.

P.S. - I just think its funny the prices on stuff for the 5th gen. I can get a set of long tubes for my LT1, including y pipe, for 350. 450 if I want a high flow cat.
