And yes I know he went 12.3 @ 110 with drag radials but he was forced to make an extra shift on the run.
And the camaro is out of gear in 3rd at 110. Most people have shown that they didnt gain much or lose much by short shifting or just leaving it in gear...Im not sure what makes the mustang so special/different.

Why doesnt anyone ever talk about that?

Either way...no 3.31 geared car has trapped 115 with a manual either. The fastest 12.58 stock time to date was with a 3.31 gear and it trapped 112 also.

First off the baseline pull in 5th gear was 368rwhp. And running 87 octane.

They then added cai and tuned the thing. They have been working with ford for 8+ months now on the new 5.0. The tuning is also aggressive and tuned for 93 octane.

But I do agree this is a shop trying to sell a product. Although Steeda is a pretty respected shop.

Beside Evolution Performance I have only read about 2 other tuned 11 GTs. One guy does his tuning on the street datalogging, not on a dyno. The other I don't think has been to the dyno yet or if he has he hasn't posted about it yet.

The factory rev limiter on the 2011 GT kills it. The rev limiter is barely above where the car makes peak power. This means when you shift you are not going to be shifting into the powerband. In a manual car you want to shift a decent bit past where the car makes peak power so you are shifting into the powerband.

That is why the few guys so far that have tuned the 2011 GT and raised the limiter said that it really wakes the car up.

Looks like you want to shift he 2011 GT around 7200-7300 rpm. The redline from the factory prevents that.

The graph you just posted shows power dropping off at only 6400 rpm?

8cd...the MMR intake was the one I was reading about. I also read about some other guys who tuned their cars etc....I am sure you are a member of mustangsource...check it out.

i believe the rev limit on the LS3 is set at 6600rpm which can take you all the way to 114-115mph which means you can just stay on the gas through the traps

Not gonna pull that unless you put a lower gear in the Camaro period. How many times do we have to beat the horse?

Just found about 3 sources stating the top speed at 6500rpm of the 6 speed manual camaro is 110.

I didnt need to look because I OWN the car but you had me thinking LOL....but look it up if you want. I have seen the car flash 111 in 3rd when I hit the limiter before (didnt want to admit that, but thats how i knew)

BTW...I am looking at my dyno graph and my car was just starting to lose power at 61-6200 rpm....looks like the ls3 could use a rev limit raise even more than the 5.0.

Have to see how strong that valvetrain on the LS3 is. It could use a raise in the rev limiter also if that is where it is making peak power.

Not sure when you start to float the valves in that pushrod motor though, if I had to guess I would say around the 7k range.

To say it already has a track pack is confusing... what was considered a track pack on the 2010 is Standard for the 2011
