Ok serious question. I want a new job, like so frekaing bad. I have a BA in business, working on a BA in Accounting. I have only worked in a bank. Most accounting stuff requries experience, do i still apply anyways? And there is so much crap on job sites, where is the best place to look? And are there any good books you guys know of that could help me?

My advice look for an Administrative job at an Accounting firm. The tax season is coming up and they will be looking for people to file paperwork, mail, and send emails for them. This will look go on a resume even if you are not doing Accounting work.

Yes, you still should apply. applying never hurts! also, after you apply, wait a week, check to see if the job is still available, and call them personally. Tell them you applied a week ago, saw that the job was still open, and that you are very interested in working for them. This goes a long way, trust me. worst thing that can happen is, they don't call you back.

I've done this with about 4 jobs in florida already. still waiting.:(
