yeah, jewel is tired of daily driving jewel. lol so we want something that can tow jewel to events, like to fest. this way if we have my daughter, it will be a better ride, than all of us cramming into the camaro. so i will daily the truck, and jewel will drive the sonic.

Jut throwing this out there but my dad just recently bought a Silverado. The sticker on the truck was 40K and he got am out the door price of 23K. A brand new Silverado extended cab LT RWD in white. It has the 5.3L 6-speed auto with the towing package and came with the windows tinted, running boards, and a bed liner. He did trade in his HHR for it and they have him 7,500 for it so in reality the truck was 30K OTD. Which is still a good deal

Edit: here's a picture of his truck. It has changed a little since this is a older picture now. My dad added a bull bar to the front with off road lamps which is about the only think different

Yeah, seems like you can get great deals on trucks. Might wait for Chevy truck month in February.

I want a crew cab that can tow at least 6k lbs...with no problems. That should be good enough to tow jewel and a trailer.

If I am not mistaken silervado 1500s are rated for 5500-6000 pounds. The crew cabs are nice but the reason my dad got the extended was because he wanted a standard size bed. And he got his in Chevy truck month. Was a total of 9K in rebates if I am not mistaken

just got a chance to get on the computer and see those black rims on that truck. those are really sexy! lol

and 9k off! nice! i'll be able to get me a 35k truck for 25ish! lol

i'll have to mod the truck a little, so that i can tow 6k with ease. like better gearing, etc.
