Real wood , ....gas The gas one's aren't so much for me. I like the crackle, pop and smell of the wood. Add some hot choc., and Hawk's sig photo and I'd be all set

We have a wood one in living room and a gas one in the basement.
Although the one in the basement warms up the whole house and fast.
we often have both going at the same time!
