2011 Kia Forte ECO first impressions...

Engine has decent pickup and power, becomes buzzy at higher RPMs though.

Manumatic shifting is virtually worthless, almost a second of delay between tapping the shifter and the transmission shifting.

Seats are fairly comfortable.

Trunk is a decent size.

Interior plastics leave much to be desired. Handful of soft-touch surfaces, a lot of hard plastics, luckily most of the dash is grained/textured well enough so that it doesn't look/feel so cheap.

In the end...I'd take a Cruze or Focus any day.
