I have plenty of people ask why I will drive 7 hours on friday and 7 hours on sunday to see a game. They just don't understand.
My school recently limited tailgate hours. It used to be 7am for all games. Now for games that start at 6pm or later tailgating can't start til noon. They say they did a survey and the new rules are in line with other institutions and the NFL.

Needless to say, some of the boosters are PISSED. When you try to explain it to them why you need to be on campus at 7am for a 7:30pm game they just don't get it. They still allow RVs on the day before though. And the way our school is setup, it's not really feasible to tailgate off campus. Puts us in an interesting situation. I have a feeling there will be some sort of compromise or hopefully a reversal back to the old rules sooner rather than later.

Sometimes I think we're all certifiably insane in the SEC. I sat in the damn rain for 4 hours last saturday watching us play a SWAC team of all things. I think thats why I'm sporting a case of tonsilitis at the moment :p
