Meh, wouldn't give it much chance. Metal on metal with no oil=horrible, no matter how good the design.

After a nice line bore, over sized bearings, new bore job on cylinders, we could up the CI's a few, get some more power! Hell throw in a stroker kit. New bearings, more displacement. Win! Yota

My one friend drove her car to school and almost got back home without oil before she realized anything was wrong and the engine block was basically welded together by the time it gave out.

9 out of 10 times they'll try to weasel their way out of it. Tell your mom not to let them know she drove 15 miles without oil or they'll try to pin it on her, even though it was their fault.

The strategy to take is go in calm, feel it out. If they try to get out of it, get pissed off, start swearing, making a scene. They don't like that. They'll try to give you what you want to get you to stop

This is why I refuse to take my car to oil change places. I don't know what I'm going to do at my new place but I'll figure out a way to do it myself.
