High School English teacher gave my brother the nickname "fielder" (he gave everyone a nickname for some reason), a play on our last name (Field) and former baseball player Cecil Fielder. I had the same teacher 4 years later, and the name was recycled on me. I'm the car guy in the family, so the LS3 made it my own (and long enough to use for places that require more than 7 characters).

mine is from a video game called power gems or something. because my last name is pronounced the same (whang=wang), friends just started calling me wangtang.
