No tire now on a SRT8, never, ever get to use 700HP on that skinny ass rear tire, even with its extra weight. IMHO
70s ain't got nothing on these times. Not sure why you even compare the 2.

So Dodge Viper didn't count?

I hear you "Crazy Bob"

I'm going go test drive one also.... just like Jeff Gordon did in the Pepsi commercial .....

..... well at least try too! I just love how "Mike" locks the doors once inside.

Ya know, I think Mopar should have came out with the 'Cuda instead of the Challenger..... Back in the day..... The 'Cuda was the bad boy! it just looked meaner going down the road. It held it's own down the Dragstrip back when the factory drag cars ran wild. Oh ....Yes, let's have a oil embargo just ONE MORE time

I will researve any comment's other than sounds awesome on paper until I see the following.

1. price
2. curb weight
3. will it handle better than the boatanchors they made in the past.

For the record I am not a hater I have owned 300C I almost bought a 2008 SRT8 when they hit but they handle so much worse than a Zl1 its not even in the same realm of car.

I even had a bunch of pedders suspension on my 300C and my Zl1 outhandled by leaps and bounds. stock it was so far different is was a joke.

I want BOTH keys....

That's the only way they will make a sale to me..... At least I will lead them to think that. I have always like the Camaro from back in the day.... not so much in the late '70's to the late '80's ( sorry, just didn't like the look) to have GM come out with their version of the "Retro Camaro" is better then sliced bread.

I could care less about the Mustangs, I never cared for a car I could start with a screw driver. Or the Mopars with their VERY CHEAP interiors. This is what I saw back in the day. Nothing is going to change my mind today, be it 700 HP or a snake on the side of the car. I bought the ZL1 because it's a very well rounded car and gets out of it's own way. No matter if it's on the Interstate or going up the hill to Santa Cruz. it's a pleasure to drive.

So would you rather be seen in a Camaro or a Challenger? 700+ ponies is impressive but it's still a .......... Just messing with my Mopar brothers.

I think a majority of the 13/14 GT500's averaged 62k-64k, due to people wanting them optioned up.

I wish you would be right, because my 14GT500 would be gone in a heartbeat for an auto Hellcat.

It's not so much the 707hp, I realize I can easily surpass that to the order of 760hp with a simple 13-6 kit at $1500, its my bad left knee that gives me hell every time I drive this thing..

Unfortunately after they have seen GM sell a $75k Camaro, they aren't going to leave any potential money on the table.

So we are all sure it is going to be 700+ HP. They are making them already? I will believe it when they actually start making them.

A 392 SRT8 which is clearly lacking in every aspect with the Chevy and Ford offerings cost 50K+ ... So assuming Dodge will only tack on another 2-5K for new tech, suspension, brakes, and blowers is dead.

Either way this is good for all pony cars, I hope Chevy comes out with the new ZL1 6th Gen with numbers on par with the current GT500. 600+whp out the box with plenty of aftermarket support.

What's Dodge going to do with the Viper now? Sounds like this Challenger may cost maybe $20-30,000 less than the Viper and be at least equal. And if comparing apples to apples, this Challenger should be compared to the Z28, a car with 200 less HP that will probably kick its a$$.
