Okay—we will if you say so.

I think polls are a useful tool for gauging interest in products or options. Unfortunately, we've had a sudden proliferation of demands. I would encourage people to continue to gauge interest in aftermarket components, but we should wait a while before we demand more factory stuff. For example, I have been lobbying for a Rally Green car, but that topic died months ago when not enough people seemed interested. They were happy with Inferno Orange and the orange interior, so they didn't want another flashy color. Instead of starting a bunch of new threads to get my way, I'm waiting to see if my demands coincide with very many other people. Maybe we'll see green as an option in 2011 or 2012. I just don't think that we need to flood the forums with demands. We should be flooding them with thanks for the demands already fulfilled.

I think this thread is informing the pollsters to know what message they are sending. By asking for more, it lets GM know that the product isn't good enough, and I think that's not the message that pollsters intend to convey.

Why didnt you just put that into your education, become an engineer, work at GM and then try to please a bunch of teens who "wanna" have a "maro" These polls are annoying, you guys have to start a poll or a petittion every 10 minutes. You don't have to tell us how old you are. Its evident that if you cant be happy with what the manufacturer offers. You want it changed to your liking because you think you know more than the manufacturer. Thats the first clue that you might be a 13 year old.
You are not going to make any friends here if you keep this up. It's great IF you actually work at GM and IF you actually work on the Camaro, that you have so much passion and feel protective of it. We can all understand that. BUT-- it's a huge mistake to come on an ENTHUSIAST forum and then yell at the ENTHUSIASTS who will buy your car for voicing their opinions.

Even more of a mistake to pick on people who love this car because of their age. Who cares how old someone is or how long it takes them to pay off their car?!?! As long as they can make their payments and it's worth it to them, it doesn't matter now, does it?

By the way, we do have people from GM who come on this forum... people high up in GM. So in the interest of protecting your job, I'd watch how you treat the people around here.

Sorry mods for the rant.

Anyway, on topic now: I think the polls have sprung up because of the recent success lobbying for blue on the SS, and that lobbying for other things are great, if there's overwhelming support, like there was for the blue. Otherwise, I think they can be annoying only because everyone has something they want different... and GM can't build 100,000 completely different cars perfectly tailored to each and every person's exact specifications because it's simply unfeasible. If something isn't wanted by an overwhelming majority of the people on here, and in other places, it's probably something you'll have to live with as not happening.

For instance, I personally would prefer to get the ambient lighting and communication package available on the 1ss without leather, but you know what, I understand that's not how GM packaged things and that most of the people on here probably DO want leather and so, I will not get exactly what I want. However-- the biggest thing that honestly would have gotten me to hold off on purchasing this car HAS been resolved, because I wasn't the only one who wanted it. WOO HOO BLUE SS!!!! THANK YOU AGAIN GM!!!! I can get my dream car in my dream color now, and that's good enough for me.

sorry, but: Fail.
GM is confident that the Camaro will be the best that it could be when it comes out, and thats an understatement.
there are also a ton of us who feel this way also. IMO.
The polls, depending on what they're asking, only depicts a fraction of the majority of enthusiasts; which is why i dont believe they do what your statement above reads.

I like polls. Polls got blue for the SS.

I like polls. Polls got polished wheels as an option for the RS.

IF YOU DON'T LIKE POLLS, THEN TAKE WHAT HAS BEEN GIVEN TO YOU.

GM has their own team that can make their own grown up, well educated, well thought out decisions. Participate in a poll if you would like to see change. Do not participate if you don't care about the outcome.

We can have a poll to add the Z28 and I'd bet we get a >95% request rate. Does that mean GM will make it? Probably not right now. But, in other areas where cost is not that much higher and they believe that adding the option would be beneficial, they just might do it!

So, quit bitching with all you bitching! EVERYONE! If you don't like it, move on to the next thread! I'm fairly sure that everyone would like to see maybe ONE thing different for their car and if given the opportunity, would have participated in a poll to try and make their wish come true.

...........and if I worked for GM, I'd be BUSTING MY ASS trying to get EVERY 17 year old buying the car that I BUILT!!! Putting them down and picking apart their posts only makes you look. A salesmans job?? That 17 year old and all the other 17 year olds raving about this car, are helping to keep food on your table....now, and years down the road! BE THANKFUL.

I honestly can not believe someone from GM would attempt to put down their future prospective buyers.
