Sorry you hit the rock, that would suck. I'm not a lawyer and I don't play one on TV, but I know a lot of people who own parking lots and retail stores. It might be worth the call to find out who the owner is and ask them to help you pay to fix your car. At the very least, ask them to remove the rock or put a flag/pole on it so that people can see it. I applaud you for taking personal responsibility for your actions, but someone put a rock in a really stupid place and they should take responsibility for that too. Remain professional and nice and see if they will help. You might be surprised by the answer. Can't hurt to try.

Allready going to start doing this and your right about being professional I will keep this in mind and see if I can get some help..I just need a few more days to calm down before I wright the letter..

I doubt the lot owner would be willing to help cover your expenses. at most they might move the rock. but based off the pics you showed of the rock, you clearly arent the only person to have hit it. and no offense, but its not the lot owners fault you (or anyone else) hit the rock. the rock is inside the curb completely. if it were jutting out into the actual parking area, then I could see them possibly helping more.

but in this situation, its just a turn that was taken too sharply.
