Did you watch the video?

For the first mass produced sport hybrid, I'm interested in the 2011 Honda CR-Z. Reminds me of the old CRX.

This car will make it's sales debut at the Detroit auto show this month. See pics below.

I may replace my Civic (daily-driver) with the CR-Z. In the future, if Cadillac adopts the Volt technology I'll be all over it.

And that is definitely not a grandma mobile, nor is it a tree-hugging hippie mobile.
I'm going to rent one of these when they come out and out-smug all the prius owners in town and make them feel completey ashamed.

Then I'll return it and annoy them further with my SS.

I'm impressed they're putting 17" wheels on the volt. The prius looks horrid withe the 15" rims it comes with.

Also, they have the weirdest wheels I have ever seen. They're an alloy wheel with a big plastic "hubcap" on them. It's bizarre.

Hehe. All of these hybrids have "low rolling resistance tires." Which means they are one step above wagon wheels. They are hard as hell.

believe in global warming or not, i think we can all agree that pollution is a bad thing, and going to cars and trucks that get better fuel economy is ideal for cutting pollution remember in the olympics when they took footage of china before they shut down the factories and after? or how about the public outcry before the epa was established about how filthy the water was? granted there are still wrinkles in the fabric but this car is a great step forward in reducing the need for fuel, and reducing pollution the downside is the battery life, but time will tell on whats going to happen with this car can do and what will change in the technology to follow

but to everyone thinking the volt is the cure all for gm i disagree, i think the chevy cruze will be the silver bullet for the next few years until they can improve the technology, its supposed to be the corolla killer

I don't necessarily disagree with that.

But the same folks that see the Prius as a Green car should see the Volt as an ever greener car.... If they base it off of fuel consumption. Yes disposing of batteries is a big problem...

Now we are speculating on how "educated" those that buy green are.....

But the bottom line is GM's asnwer to the Prius and cars like it is fomidable to be sure.

That's actually a very good looking vehicle. Performance Hybrid? I'll believe it when I see it.

Every drop of gas this thing saves, is one more for my Camaro.

It also loosens the grip, of the Middle Eastern countries currently dictating world economies.
