Definitely impressive numbers! However I'll believe it when I see it, actually out run a 675 LT with same track same driver test. I'm not sure I buy that. Seems like they are using the "Track Prepped" term to cover some adjustments they may have made to the stock car.

Virtually nobody who buys this kind of car knows... or cares... how much it weighs.

We're only talking 500 of these things over 2 years I believe anyway. Exclusivity.

Is the previous GT the fastest car in the world? Does it outperform everything it was compared against? No.

Does it still draw stares unlike almost any other American car? Is it selling for double and triple it's original value? Is it extremely rare to see on the road?

I'd say depending on how you answer those question goes a long way towards whether you appreciate the new GT or not.

I like the previous gen GT much more that this new one...I always thought they were badass. An old boss of mine has a white one with stripe delete, and gray ADV.1 wheels, looks killer...

The Previous GT is slowly starting to come back to earth on Price. I still need my Lotto numbers to get one, but damn I do want one!

So, now we should judge a car based on how many they make and the residual value?

The GT is absolutely gorgeous.. I saw it at NAIAS two years ago.. However..

McLaren is most likely quicker and faster in a straight line. McLaren weighs less, while Ford stated they were going for best power to weight in class, McLaren also gets much better fuel economy..

I very much appreciate the car based on its looks. Dont appreciate some specs due to the fact that they hyped another of their products and didn't deliver and even costs more than competition..

The McLaren also runs Trofeo R's to the GT's Cup 2 tires, yet the GT takes it around the track. I think straight line performance will be pretty close.

Clearly the car doesn't deliver, nor will it.

Oh, okay. Let's listen to the Ford test like when they said the new GT PP outperforms the Boss 302..Now they're saying the same thing with updated GT PP for 2018 for some reason..

People really hate the new GT. Despite numbers showing it's faster in early stages of it being raced excuses are made and it is apparently a failure and disappointment.

Oh well. I guess C5 doesn't have many enthusiasts.

Yep... worst car ever.

Luckily for Ford a whole bunch of (apparently stupid) rich people bailed them out by snapping them all up.
