the wheels are rice? they are just nice black wheels...

as for the spoiler, yes it is a little ricey but I think because it is on a cobalt, if it was on a Z or something IMO I think it would look good

They look like rubber-bands, and they DON'T belong on that car. And personally...ain't nothing "nice" about them.

Spoilers like that are out of place, (and imo, 'rice') on anything but a purpose-built LeMans racer. The car is f'n FWD...why is it on there?!

The GFX are a little much...but I can overlook that as personal preference. I like the color-scheme, and the grille isn't bad at all.

I think though, what this thread is showing us is how personal preference plays a role in what we label things as. I for one, was never into the over-styled, under-powered, "makes me feel fast" cars that my friends were all into. I don't blame them for not having any taste...they were young, and couldn't afford to do any better in most cases. I think that's where this 'ricer' culture evolved from originally... I was thankfully exposed to real cars like the Camaro, Corvette and Mustang at a very early age.

After reading the posts in this thread, I think most have lost what the word "rice" means. If anything, this Cobalt should be termed "anti rice". GM's first real shot at the "rice" from........ (you know where).....

wheels looks great imo... not a fan of thick tire walls unless its on a classic muscle car or drag car

Looks familiar but with all badges off and I've been up 30 hours sitting at hospital my eyes are a little tired and can't focus so please help a man out thanks?

just to defend the cobalt seeing as i own one my self its not really rice just more of a show car... rice to me is the walmart shopping cart spoiler, primer color body kit and the 20$ fart can for an exhaust. On the topic of cobalts heres a few pics of mine. I have plenty of people say it rice until they see my tail lights. Shes pushing about 375 whp and 360 wtq on 22psi with a sc50 turbo swap and about a page of other mods but i wont get into it.

and a before shot

nice pics man. That's the other point to this thread. Can't tell if it's a SC/Turbo'ed or base Cobalt.

That would be a tuner, ricers are built in the far-east, that how they got the name.
