I hope you're right or close to right. You're thinking on 93/94 octane too? A reliable DD, with mods that are in the lower cost spectrum, easy to install, on pump gas, that can hit 9's sometimes, and 10's all day long, is definitely worth the possible 80-90k CAD price tag. Hoping it's not closer to 100k but might be possible for the initial buyers...

Not sure about the 'ring time
Considering that a few SS's have already gone high 11's with only a few of them making passes. Your thinking the ZL1 will only be able to get a very few tenths better? I believe we are yet to see a " hero " run in a SS. Thought's

In every test of the C7 Z06 manual and Auto I saw 0-60 happened in 3.1-3.4& 1/4 mile 11.1-11.4 @125-127 mph Man/Auto cars weight varied from 3540-3650 Coup/Vert ...the only CTS-V tests I saw were identical and that car is 4150-4200lbs 3.5-3.6 to 60 and 11.5-11.6 @126 mph ....if all around strait line speed matters all Z06's tested in the 0-100/0-150 tests 7sec/17-18.5 respectively. The CTS-V actually matched those numbers or was within a tenth ...so BASICALLY don't be shocked when the ZL1 is just as quick as a Z06...if SS vs Z51 stats are anything to go by then the ZL1 is going to be one hell of a car

I thought GM claimed the Z06 auto something like 10.9 and the manual 11..1 or 11.2?

Unless they bump the HP it's very obvious a car weighing 400 lbs more will not run the same numbers. Just not possible. Include in less tire and more drag and the numbers will will spread even more. The Zl1 will be a monster but it's not a Z06. The 10 speed may help out very little but don't see much there either.

One can only dream. I don't think there's a chance in hell the ZL1 will be close to a Z06......if it is that would be earth shattering in the car world. I have no doubt it will outperform the new Grand Sport, but with the Z06 we're starting to get into the Super Car realm. Man oh man that would be mind blowing.......

For some reason I think Chevy has an ace up it's sleeves. The final hp numbers still haven't been certified. The ZL1 has a different intake than both the Z06 and the Caddy. I suspect that it will be producing a bit more power than the 640 we've been seeing thrown around. I, for one, would be happy if it could at least match the power of the old Shelby GT500.

Yeah I'm thinking GM will come in around 660 or 665hp for the ZL1. We will see
