ATS-V or CTS-V.
Hands down. Never a regret. If my Camaro ever goes away it's either one of those or a newer Camaro.

As other have said, maintenance is the kicker for any import, especially anything from any European manufacturer. Talk about strict on what needs to be done at 1000, 5000, 7500, 10,000 and so on. I'm more of a GM person, if I were to ever want a luxury car, I'd find a Buick or Cadillac that felt good to drive to me. Owned a few different GM products over the years, most from the 80's, 83 Buick LeSabre and a 83 Cadillac Sedan Deville. Both of those cars were all about comfort back then. I'd consider any of the newer Buick or Cadillac models if I was in for changing up, but I do really enjoy my Camaro.

No one should be thinking a Camaro is luxury.......or even near luxury. Believing this only suggests you have never driven a Cadillac or Mercedes or Audi.

I think I'm almost the owner you're looking for.
I'm currently in a '15 Audi S4 which I have had for about 14 months. It really is nice inside, built like a piece of solid billet and has neat road manners. HOWEVER, it is a car that is far beyond anything I have owned before. I find myself uncomfortable showing off the money I've made over the years through hard work and (when it came to stocks) dumb luck. It might be my fault because I bought it in Arrest Me Red but god damnit everyone in this little city knows where I am if they see my car so I can't go to strip clubs or anything like that...it is not an inconspicuous car! My other more car-related complaints are the following: -It's heavy...at least 3,800 pounds -Mods are $$$Texas$$$...a Stage 1 off the shelf tune was $900. -It is NOSE HEAVY...the motor is fully in front of the front strut towers. -It is awesome inside BUT also I find it cramped...don't even get me started about the A3/S3. -On board electronics are cool but are very dated...my Mom's Subaru Forester connects to my phone faster over Bluetooth than the Audi. -Navigation is laughable...at least 5 times over these 14 months, it thought I was going 70 mph OFF ROAD IN THE MOUNTAINS. -It relies on small motors with forced induction...which is fine and also the sign of the times, but they're not V8s. -The cost versus what you get somewhat doesn't add up. Dynamically, my S4 with the tune is on-par in a straight line with the 2016 Camaro SS...but for what I have paid all-in, I have paid over $15K more and the only real "more" I get in this Audi is luxury appointments / nice interior. So that sums up my feelings...sorry it was a little bit rambling. Audi A4 / S4 are really good cars but you are definitely dealing with diminished returns as far as what you pay to get into the luxury realm. After more than a year of driving the S4, I think I can honestly say that level of luxury is not for me and I am happy to take delivery of my Camaro. If you're dead-set on a luxury car, the Audi A4 will be a fine car. However, you might be just as satisfied with a VW Passat or Jetta. Better yet, if you can fit, get into the current VW Golf R or GTI...right now, the VW products are REALLY CLOSE to luxury cars and basically share all the bones with the Audis. I wouldn't do the Mercedes CLA, my neighbor is a GM of a MB dealership and even he says he would never own one...lowest he'd go is their C-Class line which has been very much improved. Only BMW I would drive is the M235i or M2...even the 228i is supposed to be decent. However, if you are just going for a nice car to be a point A to point B car, you should really take a look at the new Malibu, it looks like it'll be a winner.

I'm too poor for luxury.

Commits weekly crime
|
I've now owned my Audi Q5 3.0T for 3 years, and put 120,000 miles on it over that time.
I loved my SS, I loved my Z51 and I love my current Z06. That being said, my daily driver is my Audi, and it is comfortable, reliable and goes most anywhere I've wanted to go. I've driven to Alaska in it, just got back from a trip to Death Valley. Cost of ownership hasn't been that high, though I did just spend a fair amount replacing the brakes and rotors within the last 10k miles.

I'm not going to switch I'm keeping my Camaro but I'm looking for a CTS right now. Don't need a V my Camaro is Supercharged. I'm getting ready to retire and turning 60 so I'm looking for a comfortable ride with a useable backseat.
This is what I want! CTS Performance 304hp V6 AWD
