Yes.

Best chances of finding something would be for Holden badged models sharing similar parts in Australia.

I think we would all (most) agree that it could be a little flashier.

Has anyone done any Cosmetic mods to these? Any pics if so?
I checked the old Inter webs but could not find much, I realize that is probably do to the low production numbers.

You can order HSV body panels at a price ...

Honestly, im not crazy about the looks of the chevy ss its a sleeper forsure. As others have said, new rims (possibly the 1le rims) and tinted windows and this car would be bad ass !! The interior is awesome love the look, almost seems like they took the camaros interior and made it more "premium". I would definately buy one if I had the means, but then again if money wasn't a issue id personally first upgrade to a 1le or zl1 haha

Do you have a link? I think the rear bumper needs ground effects at the bottom, I don't like how it tucks in at the wheels.

Personal opinion...

I think it is the best affordable performance sedan south of the M3.

I just wish it was full legit performance.

Some of it is show stuff.

Like how the seats have pieces of metal to make it look like harness holes or I have seen some models without the full brembo package only the front calipers.

When I need a family car, I will be picking one of these up.

It is the NG Commodore. The G8 was off of the previous gen Commodore.

It's much nicer than the G8 IMO. And the GXP was an 09 so accounting for inflation and the features the SS has that weren't available on the GXP the price is pretty reasonable.

I sure have a lot people tell me they like it.......even if they don't know what the heck it is.

Really, wifey gave me the side eye because she couldn't believe I was willing to part ways with my Zen after all we been through to get her. That showed me that she loves my girl just as much as I do . I'm hoping I can still find one at a later time either brand new or a low mileage used one. But If I had the money today, without a doubt I would be rolling the Chevy SS.

It has just the right amount of aggressiveness to me. People that don't know what it is would mistake it for a Malibu. I love that. I dig the interior also and the fact that it comes with all the bell and whistles. If I was you, it would be in my driveway right now lol. It being an automatic can no longer be used as an excuse because you have the option of a manual now. Also you have Brembos in the front and rear now along with the Magnaride. You're good to go!
Love mine. I'd like the fit and finish and interior of my Audi S4, but this car was 10k less than my Audi. I considered a CTS V-Sport but that was another 20k. So all in all it does what I was hoping. Likely one of the last full size RWD V8s.

V or V-Sport? Assume V-Sport as the new V isn't iut yet. The TT V6 in the V-Sport is about on par with the LS3. So for that 20k you get a much nicer interior and a 1 year longer warranty with luxury brand service. Wasn't worth it for me.

Most reviews pick the SS so not sure how it is shown up by the Fiat.

Park them side by side and they aren't even close.........although I will admit to thinking a Black Malibu was my SS in the parking lot.

Weight is still under 4,000 pounds and you sure don't feel the HP difference.

Like the Malibu.....couldn't resist

It's part of why I like mine. Classy looking. I didn't want shock and awe for appearance.

I hate the chrome buttons on the seat. As for not having Brembos on the rear? I'd pretty much bet you couldn't measure a stopping distance between a 14 and a 15 model. MR shocks is the only real feature I would like on mine. And I'd take Brembo rears for appearance, I just don't believe the rears make a real noticeable difference in performance. Maybe on the track but mine will never see that.........now.

Do it! It will make a great compliment to your camaro. I've had my G8 for 6 years and love it just as much if not more than I' did when I bought it new. It will make life so much easier when it comes to practicality. IMO I think it looks great, especially in person. If I didn't love my G8 so much and the all new CTS-V I would get one of these in a heart beat.

Yup , I like the looks of the Malibu because it looks sporty and I like the taillights ! But if I wanted a V8 grocery getter , i would get a 14 Charger SRT8 or a 300 SRT8 because they have the looks and color interior! Sweet beasts !

Main drawback of the CTS-V is the small backseat area, but just about ever other facet of the V is superior to the SS.

We had one in the Shop a couple of weeks ago - very impressive.

The Interior is a little bland, but that should be good for avoiding the Po-Po.

The one thing that I would be afraid of is future parts availability, especially body panels. When GM makes low volume cars they don't have a good history of supporting them. Try getting GTO or G8 parts!
