2014 Pickup Sales
Ford: 753,851
Chevrolet: 537,850
Dodge: 439,789
GMC: 214,903

FoMoCo:753,851
GM: 752,753

So with pickups, FoMoCo outsells GM by 0.15%
I didnt realize Dodge sold that many but Ford does out sell Chevy & GMC both. Pretty damn good if you ask me but I realize that Chevy guys wont give Ford a inch but if I am in the market for a truck I go Ford, if I want a Muscle car I go Chevy.

It didn't really start arriving to dealer lots till late december. Inventory is still low, but around here i'm already seeing them pop up left and right and man are they good looking. Chevy doesn't stand a chance.

Chevy has had a rough time lately it seems with their pickups, I dont know why because they do make good trucks, its just that Ford the market and Dodge has really made gains on both Ford & Chevy.

I like everything Chevy makes but if I buy a truck its gonna be a Ford but that Raptor for $50k+, thats ridiculous for a truck because I can remember when trucks were dime a dozen, not anymore.

My dad has always owned Ford and calls me a traitor for owning a Camaro but I say hey its American so get over it!

He has a 1997 F150 w/4.6 and it has the stepside bed and he bought it new, it now has like 40,000 miles and looks brand new. He hardly drives it anymore because he is 80 and wants me to have it but like I told him keep your truck and we can worry about the other on another day.

He also has a 2003 Crown Vic that he bought new and it has maybe 40,000 on it and it also has the 4.6, he has been thinking of selling that and getting a Fusion or Taurus. I tried to get him to look at the new Impala's but when I told him he bout busted a gasket.....

Made the mistake of buying two ford trucks a diesel f250 in 2002, and a 2000 fl50 v8. The 250 shit the bed at 40k miles, dealer couldn't even figure out what the problem was. 150 had problems all the time, engine blew at 90k miles. My uncles 2013 f150 transmission just went at 45k miles. You couldn't give me another Ford truck for free.

When mine left me stranded I had 12k miles on it. It's fail safe mode was the warning on the screen and the fact that the ac got hot because the engine was off

Im not gonna sit here and defend Ford trucks. I dont have to there are a blue million of them on the roads and I mean if you wanna talk about problems with Fords just go to any Chevy truck forum and they have the same issues and even on this forum there are plenty of complaining Camaro owners who have bad engines, bad transmissions, bad paint, bad clutches, you name it. All brands of cars and trucks have problems not just limited to Ford.

Of course. But personal experiences play a large partin future purchases. I'm sure there are thousands of people that have had problem free Chevy's and Fords, my grandfather bought Chevy trucks his entire life with no problems. I'm sure there a thousands of Ford customers that have never had an issue either. But my personal experiences left an awfully bad taste in my mouth with Ford.

Ford has been improving, but they are still below industry average. Ford/Lincoln products only rank in 4 segments (out of 21), and have ZERO first place rankings in any dependability segment.

Contrast that with GM which has 13 top 3 rankings in various segments - including 8 first place rankings.

Dodge...well someone has to be at the bottom.
