2011? Not a CHANCE. Building out LTE requires an ENTIRE new network. Expect to see MAYBE 10-20 cities up by 2011.

For instance, there still isn't complete 3G coverage on any of the carriers, and most of them started that 5 years ago, and for Sprint and Verizon it's a native upgrade within their current technology platform (so a network upgrade, as compared to 4G being an entirely new network for everyone)

And, unfortunately Sprint is first to the beat with a "4G" network, not that it's really a TRUE 4G network right now.

As for Sprint, I agree, they're a HORRIBLE company to do business with. For instance: With AT&T they harassed me for six months because of a billing error (I had a negative account balance, and they kept calling me and telling me they were going to terminate my service, long after I had cancelled it if I didn't pay the bill). NOBODY in the company seemed to be able to figure out what was wrong, but they kept apologizing, notated the account and told me to just ignore any correspondence. It took six months to fix it, but the whole time they were understanding and even offered me free service for a short period of time if I was interested.

Sprint however I can't even COUNT the times in the last MONTH they've COMPLETELY screwed up my account beyond belief and then can't understand why I'm angry with them.

And T-Mobile customer service? Absolutely AMAZING. It shows how well they treat their employees in how well their employees treat their customers.

I've had them remove my phone from the account when they were fixing my brothers phone. And instead they had his new phone, and two dead/broken phones still active and billed on the account.

Took them 3 days to realize what was wrong and 4 hours in store to try to fix it.. But then broke my phone too.

They've abandoned my phone number twice without me even authorizing them to access the account. They've shut off and cancelled a line in the same manner. My last name starts with "Sag". The last four letters I've gotten from them had it start with "Fag". The account info and all is correct and says "Sag". When I ordered my Touch Pro they told me that adding a second line would exceed my line maximum of two lines. Then we figured out that the only reason I'm only approved for two lines with Sprint is because they screwed up entering my SSI number for the credit check. Then they sent me SEVEN Touch Pros. I should have kept the six I didn't order. They never even noticed that they sent them.

I have six of their executive and regulatory services representatives on speed dial.

I truly just wish they'd sell the Nextel network off to Nextel International so that it could be maintained like it USED to be before Sprint got their grimey hands involved. Nextel was actually experimenting with a technology called Flash OFDM in 2005, before any other carrier started deploying 3G, that was essentially a 4G-capable technology. Quite different then the dated reputation that the network has now.

Same here. In fact I preferred using my dad's phone before sprint bought them.. now they just suck. But with our renewal up in Dec. we could go either way. Maybe ATT, Maybe Verizon.. maybe stay with Sprint.

Sometimes I have to wonder what the heck goes through my 'rents heads sometimes. But when they're paying the bills I guess I have less to complain about.. a lot less.
