WOW! I am 100% on board with this truck! Even to color!

I haven't been too impressed with the Colorado body myself, and have been contemplating the Canyon as I think it looks way better, but this ZR2 is bad... @$$...

This is the only thing I would step up to the pay window on and buy anything above and beyond a base/WT trim. I'm still really hoping for a stick option in the diesel, but I would buy this truck in a heart beat and send my Camaro packing.

I also, could do without the bed mounted spare, it's just something people are going to try and steal...

I have a '02 ZR2 which has been a solid truck for me. I would definitely buy this truck if GM makes it. Just please give me a MANUAL option. None of this BS auto only.

Sooo... I posted this picture on my Facebook wall saying that I would buy one (and tagged Chevrolet, of course) if they made it (preferably with a manual transmission), and unload my Camaro to get one if I had to.

My Dad commented... "It looks like a Tacoma cab."

I've said the Colorado looks like a Toyota from the get go from looking at pictures on posts here (Although I think it looks like a shrunk down Tundra, not so much a Tacoma)... Here my Dad, a guy in his mid 50's, that's never seen or heard of the new Colorado, sees a picture of the ZR2 and basically says, "Looks like a Toyota"...

Reason for my Canyon preference over the Colorado... To ME, the Canyon looks less "Toyota-ish"... I jumped on the Colorado train due to these ZR2 pics because it makes it look less "Toyota-ish" and BAD @$$

If they did build this... I wonder if they would also do a Canyon ZR2... and what it would look like? And how much more it would cost :(

The only problem I see with this (if they even make it) is price. I've heard a new, decked-out Colorado will be high $30's-low $40's. Way too much for a small pick-up if you ask me. My Dad just bought a new 2014 LTZ Extended Cab Silverado with the 6.2L and it was low $50's.

Wow, now that you say it the cab box is very Tacoma(ish). Also with you on liking the Canyon better also like the Sierra better always have liked the GMC versions better in the pick up trucks.

I will buy this in crew cab and not baby vomit color.

If they offer those two things, I'll get one next year when they come out.

It may look Tacoma-ish but it is far superior.

4 wheel disc brakes vs disc drum of the Tacoma
v6 with more horsepower and torque than a Tacoma AND gets much better mileage.
Higher tow rating.
Plus hopefully a diesel option.
Real skid plates
Deeper bed
Front and rear lockers (though I don't think the front will make it into production)
WAY better interior

All it needs is a MANUAL Transmission for all engines!

BUILD IT GM!
