Well let me say that the 350z was my first car, so ive got a huge soft spot for it that most people here can relate to Camaro's of old.

It is in my most humble of opinions that the Challenger is the last real muscle car. The GT/GT500 are steering towards sports car with their track packs, and the Camaro seems to be stuck somewhere in the middle. As described to me by someone who owns both- "The GT500 is the monster sports car, the SRT cant touch it. BUT the SRT is a muscle car, and there is nothing like the feeling of a real one. "

For me its that burly, rough around the edges, man machine that I found out I love in college. Yea I love modern sports cars, but this isnt an expensive fillet and crown royal, its beer, onion rings and hotdogs .... And sometimes, those are better.

To all those in this thread......... THANK YOU! For a wonerful discussion on the three muscle cars I grew up with and loved! I've posted several times that I think that all tjede cars are sharpe and I would have bought the GT500 if now for the Camaro concept "spoke" (No pun intended from the movie) to years ago!

Zeus has captured the essence of the musclecar.

No disrespect intended,

but I think a more accurate statement is that this thread is proof that REAL MUSCLE CAR LOVERS ARE CLASS ACTS! I wish everyone could discuss cars like we are here. I had some hesitation at starting this thread (particularly on a Camaro forum) but now I'm glad I did, I really expected to be flamed off the site. As stated elsewhere, the Challenger forum Dave and I belong to is not like challengertalk: much more mature (but there's always a bad apple in every bunch). If you want the address, PM me, I'll send it to you and take a look (I assume I can't post it outright). To all: Enjoy your rides as long as you can, life's too short as it is!

BTW, the Dave I'm referring to is Dieseldave24v, not sure if Hemi Dave is a member also but, Hemi Dave, if you're not, come on over!

That's one reason I love this sight so much majority of peopleare true American muscle car enthusiasts like me. I'm 1st to tell a mustange or Challenger owner hey sweet ride! And only met couple of Challengerowners but they have been great people to only people that I just don't understand are the Mustang owners. I actually had one tell me my car was piece of crap but with different word to me just after I told him he had nice car. It's like did most mustang owners mothers not tell you if you have nothing good to say then say nothing at all. But formost part most discussions on here are civil and great unless someone comes on here just to bash the Camaro.

Nice pic of your wifes challenger. Do you haveany you can post of hers and yours together? I have noticed side by side Challenger is much bigger. But I also know looks can be deceaving because I used to have 06 H2 Hummer and you would think it have all types of room but actually on inside it's really small for what you would think. Just wandering if Challenger was really alot roomier
than camaro? I know in show Hammertime which is MC Hammer show he has Challenger and he took his kids and kids friends go gart racingand there was 4 kids in back seat and actually looked comfortable but don't know how big the kids are?

Great analogy. Unfortunately that beer, onion rings and hot dog combo come with a filet and crown royal price tag. Otherwise my hubby would be driving one today. Can't wait to have the 'maro and the Chally in the garage together so we can fight about who's driving what. That's a win-win situation.

I agree the Srt is priced out of direct competition with the SS, but I guess we will have to agree to dissagree on it being in fillet and crown territory yet.
