I guess you don't know how to drive. also you don't understand the difference between peak HP and the entire powerband. the 5.0 is quite feminine compared to the ls3. adding extra weight to it will be detrimental.

I guess I'm kind of lost here on the nomenclature in use. What defines a literally nongendered, inorganic piece of machinery as 'masculine'or 'feminine'?
Design?
Manufacturer?
If it's the latter, then it seems like a weak attempt to discredit and/or insult. Maybe there are other parameters at play here that I'm missing. If that's the case feel free to enlighten me. Also, perhaps a small sampling of others that fall into each category.

i do like the new body style of the new mustang..if this 2 to 3 hundred weight gain is legit...ford has failed big time..the weight difference is what set the mustang apart from the competition..i know all the die hard mustang guys have got to be nervous about this.

I'll bite - Sarcasm aside though, he was poking at the coyote's lower end torque compared to the ls3.

He's a troll that drives a car that even GM gave up on because it was so shitty. Just ignore him.

I'm going to guess around 450+ HP...especially if the weight gain is that much. It could be more. Ford knows what they could be up against when the 6th gen Camaro hits the streets...and that's a lighter Camaro with a torque happy, powerful LT1 engine on the Alpha chassis which gets rave reviews for its driving dynamics.

As I've said again and again, I have no doubt the 6th gen will eclipse gen 5 in every way when it comes to performance and being a better drivers car. The only question will be....how does it look?

I already know I'm no longer interested in the Mustang due to it looks.

lol...exactly. The outcry on the Mustang forums is a bit fun to see, as many are threatening to cancel their order or just not order at all. Don't get me wrong...I hate the weight too. I'd love to magically pull 300 lbs out of my car, but what they all refuse to see is that the car will be a much better drivers car, and will likely start off with much more power than their current GT has. No way Ford is going to let the 14 be faster in a straight line than the 15. It will be the same, with much better handling, or slightly quicker with much better handling.

They are all simply afraid of eating crow, b/c now they will be joining the fat pony club.

Anyway, I'll wait until Ford gives the official specs out before trusting these numbers but ... I could never really see how Ford would be able to keep the Mustang at the same size, add an IRS, meet ever tougher crash standards, and keep the car at the same weight without resorting to expensive light-weight materials (which would then price it out of its intended market).

Just wondering if Ford has someone like Fbodfather ( maybe called Mustangmommy JK..) that are on the forums to pass along information and quell rumors? If not they need someone badly....

They're for real pissed. And it's funny because a lot of them were calling the Camaro a pig (rightfully so). But then BANG! Now (if the rumors are true) the 6th generation Mustang is gonna be the pig and the Camaro is going to be light(er).
