I thought they were gonna just get rid of the challenger for the barracuda? in 2016 or 17? I doubt that by the time this package comes out the car on the outside prolly wont change much I can see them adding the LED Ring taillights and maybe led fog lamps and Drl's but not much the the style of it. And of course updating interior to better quality and prolly LCD Gauges.

2 things to consider though. 1st The 15 refresh is going to be much more than an engine and transmission upgrade. Suposedly part of it will be dropping some weight. 2nd, there is a possiblity the new hellcat MAY be all aluminum, if so it may actually end up being LESS weight over the front end if it ends up with an aluminum black vs the iron in all other Hemis. We just have to wait and see what happens. I would NOT this car lightly. They have their targets and know where to aim.

The Cuda has been put on hold for now. Origional plan was offer both simutaniously though. The 15 along with some lightening and rvised engines/transmissions, suspension, and brakes will also include a new interior more inline with the refreshed 15 Charger and 300. Should be really interesting.

Even if they switch to an aluminum block once you add the blower and other accompanying parts it's a wash but that's not a bad in this case. Now asking those equal out then all the other weight saving parts could bring down the weight but if they are wanting this to handle and start adding coolers to everything like the zl1 and gt500 then the weight will go back up so I guess only time will tell. As for taking it "lightly" I never have and never will thistle hemi's are a BADD engine and make for one he knof a power band the only thing holding it back from destroying the camaros and mustangs is the chassis. Just think about how hard it would run if it weighed what a mustang does. Now I know we could beat the "if" horse to death but with the viper not doing so well and srt being on its own I would think they might start becoming more of a threat.

FWIW Allpar tends to be more accurate then Motortrend and they state it will have more than GT500....Either way IMO it's not worth 70,000 plus......
