...you know you are a car guy when...the car of your dreams comes along, the one you have been waiting on for decades, and you make the decision to risk financial disaster throwing all caution to the wind in order to obtain it, and then make sacrifices in order to retain it. Some things in life are worth the sacrifice, and risk.

The damn Camaro in Transformers is just as realistic as the cars in Fast and Furious, and that movie is so not a car movie either! I love great car chases in a film, but it needs to have some sense of reality to it. I do not see that in these movies, so I stand by what I said. If you are liking what you see in the Fast and Furious movies, I have trouble seeing you as a real car guy.
And my point is movies are meant to be an escape from reality. I liked transformers because well it was a live action transformers movies and because megan fox was a gear head in, but also because it had the new camaro in it. I knew that it wasn't real, and I don't expect fast and the furious to be real either... but why does that mean you shouldn't like them? as far as movies go, that SHOULD BE WHY you do like them. Even the "realistic" car chases you speak of are unrealistic. If it was realistic, it wouldn't take multipple cars and takes to accomplish what you see on screen. If you want "realistic" go watch a documentary.

Thanks for the good response. I see your point, and for what it is worth, my wife agrees with you, and not me. I don't care for them, but I know I am in the minority, and yes, I would prefer a documentary over these types of films. To each his own!
