Hello Photosaurus,

Happy to hear you are so pleased with your Heads Up Display (HUD) feature. I personally really enjoy the feature as well and like you would love it in any vehicle I may own.

Their top tier vehicles might be the better model of the brand. For example on the Camaro, I believe you need the RS package to get the HUD. If not, you at least need a 2SS or 2LT to have it. (Don't know if the 1LT 1/SS with RS have it). So it might be something they are already doing.

1LT with RS does not have it, I have one.

Posted that just to confirm.

HUD isn't part of the RS package, the only way to get the it from the factory is with the 2LT, 2SS, or ZL1

to clarify, I was only using the RS package and money amounts to make the point, not saying it was part of the RS package.

You could argue your standard instrument panel is the same, but its not really the same as you will pay less attention to the road with the HUD than a standard instrument panel simply because your less interested in it.
I think it can prevent a lot more accidents than it causes. I almost never have to look down at my speedometer. I have noticed on a lot of new cars that it is getting harder to read the speedometers because the steering wheels are getting smaller, and a lot of cars have some kind of DIC in the middle of the dash which pushes the speedometer farther from the center. I have not been in a modern car in which the speedometer wasn't behind the steering wheel from my view angle.

It is also very nice for navigation. The street name, turn direction, and distance to turn show up as you approach your turn. That is a lot safer than having to keep looking down while approaching a turn to make sure you get the correct street.

In the Camaro, I agree, its kinda difficult to see the speedo with the tightness of everything there. It could divert attention away from the road for someone who has seen this for the 1st time, but that would be their own fault for not paying attention where attention should be paid.
