You know what I don't like? The constant fellating of Ray Lewis and his ego. Any time I hear someone talking about how great a person he is, I'll respond with this...because yes, I do have an issue with someone who shelters a friend from murder charges. I'm thinking that the family that came out and talked about this recently has an issue with Ray Lewis too. Wouldn't you have an issue if somone in your family was murdered and a famous sports star basically lied to cover up what happened so his friend would go free?

Don't hate. Ray Lewis doesn't even know, or probably would even care, that you hate him. It's not going to affect him that your blood boils and you wring your hands over something that 98.99% of the world gives two flips about. I don't care about Ray Lewis or his problems. It sucks for any family to go through tragedies for whatever reason, but it also would suck to be convicted of something you didn't do as well.

Bad people do bad things and get away with it. Look back at your life and see if you can ever find a time you should have been guilty of doing something you didn't get caught or convicted for. And if not, then throw your stones. If you have some solid evidence to convict someone (that you don't even know personally) of something, then bring it. If not, why give a crap? One never changes the world by simply complaining about something from the past.

I certainly have never been involved in ending another mans life then lying about what happened to cover for a friend. I also haven't ever been charged with obstruction of justice in a murder.

Either you're replying to the wrong post, or you have no idea what he was saying. Either way, I agree with him. It is a real problem in this world today that just because someone is good at football we excuse the fact they may have been involved in terrible deeds.

If I have the choice for my kid to grow up and be a great athlete ,but yet be a lousy person or work at an average job, be unknown to the world but yet be a good person with moral charater and good judgement, well then I would have done my job.

Actually my reply was in the form of 2 questions. I believe we all are partially agreeing on some things. I dont teach my kids to uphold ANY sports figures as Hiarchy or (hero's) because frankly thats utter B.S. The word HERO is reserved for people like My son's great grand father who was a WWII veteran and casualty. Or for any Service member, LEO or EMS/Fire etc. I agree 100% this day and age is absolutely ridiculous. The Moral's, Integrity and Respect have completely gone out the window for the most part. I raise my kids the way I was raised and that is with ALL of the above. Because surely if I didn't my behind would be beet red. I see and teach that Ray Lewis is a football player, thats it. Nothing more nothing less. Not a role model , nor a person to mold one's life around. He was one of the best if not the best at his position. I honestly never followed or cared to follow what he did outside of football. Whatever he did or does outside of the GAME of football is between him and his maker not me and mine.

I think this is EXACTLY the point that I and others around the country getting an overload of how great a person Ray Lewis is are feeling.

Frankly, because of all the focus on Ray Lewis and how great a person he is...I now want SF to win just because I don't want to see him winning a Super Bowl in his final season. Don't feel that way about any other Ravens, but until Ray Lewis comes clean...I want no part of him getting the ring.
