Yes. This will be RWD and from what I have heard yes, based on the G8 GXP, which was a 4 door Vette. Admittedly, 4 doors is two too many, but for family minded people looking for a V8 w/ RWD sporting a bowtie as a daily driver, here is your car.

Looks like the 2014 Impala on the front clip, G8 in the back.

No specs yet, so no one outside of GM knows if this will use a 6.0 liter or the LS3.

4 door Vette????? You mean 4 door Camaro.....right? The G8 was based on the same Holden Monaro/Commodore platform as the Camaro. A G8 and A 5th gen Camaro are almost identical mechanically. They are so similar that the aftermarket was using G8's as development mules to develop Camaro parts before the Camaro was released. A G8 has almost nothing in common with the Vette except the engine.

Of course it will. They are the same car, so almost any way they design the SS, it will resemble the G8/Commodore.

If your gonna put it that way, the Camaro is a 2 door G8/Commodore. Those two were around a while before the Camaro was released.

I still think this is a silly name for it. SS is a trim level/package, always has been. Using it as a model name will confuse a lot of people, due to it's history.
