Nice car, but pricey at $57K.... and it's NOT a Camaro... and is probably not what most on this forum would ever consider buying even if it were the same cost as an SS.

According to Lexus site, see that the IS F performance specs a little less optimistic than previously stated. No doubt car is quick, but dragging against an SS should be a close one. My $0.02.

Performance IS F
0-60 MPH Acceleration 4.6 seconds [3] [4]
1/4 Mile Acceleration 13.0 seconds [3] [4]
Top Track Speed (electronically limited) 170 mph [3] [4]
EPA Fuel Economy Estimates (city/highway) 16/23 mpg [5]

Horsepower at RPM 416 hp @ 6,600 [3]
Torque at RPM 371 lb-ft @ 5,200 [3]

Curb Weight 3,780 lb (1,715 kg)

I work for a Chevy dealer would have bought my Camaro but got tired of no comunication and some quality issues.

The lexus in 2008 there was a total of 2700 built for the US which makes it more exclusive which I want also sticker on the one I bought has the nav every option was 63k I picked it up with 6k miles on it for 40k hense why I went this way Wholesale book on this car is 51k so it was a deal I could not pass up. Camaro even at employee pricing already going to be mass produced, + already in rental fleet means I would be close to 5-10k upside down the first year and I don't want that. I would rather drive my Lexus trade it in and make money in a couple years and buy a new Camaro when there it a bunch of rebates on it.

A tick over 13.0 sec. and you're through the quarter-mile. It's a rush, of course, but not overly dramatic. Try the same thing with this pair's predecessors of 1970 or so and you'll find yourself in a bit of a wrestling match. Ain't progress wonderful? Maybe yes, and maybe sometimes it's fun to wrestle."

NOL,

Can't say I blame you after what you've gone through but still, you went to the dark side man! Ha ha. (This got posted before I finished).

My car is finally built, I have a VIN but it isn't showing up anywhere on the tracking threads. Dlr called DBC today and they told him it's in quality control. heaven help me!

Thanks a ton for all the help you've given me! You've been great and stay on the site!

+1 OMG that thing has got 4 doors!!!! Of course no one will ever admit it, but most folks jumping ship, when they see the Camaro on the road as they are driving they are gonna get that feeling in their stomach. Yeah, you know the one. Well, good luck with your new car.
